Description	:	Walter H Martinson was born in Terry on July 30, 1920, a son of Bernard and Pearl Martinson. He was raised and educated in Terry. On January 4, 1941 he married Betty Hauk in Miles City. after their marriage, they lived in Billings, where he drove a truck for Consolidated Freightways. During WWII, he served with the US Navy and following his honorable discharge he returned to Billings and his employment with Consolidated Freightways for 25 years, during which time he won the MT Truck Rodeo and went on to compete in the National Truck Rodeo in NY City. On January 4, 1941 he married Betty Hauk in Miles City. after their marriage, they lived in Billings, where he drove a truck for Consolidated Freightways. In 1953, the family started a venetian blink and drapery business, which was later expanded to Martinson Furniture. In 1983, they retired from their business, but Walt had a great love for driving a truck and continued to do so, even at the time of his death.
