Description	:	Walter Herman Einspahr was born in Hall County, Nebraska, September 9, 1900, to John (Johann) Gottfried and Wilhelmina Augusta (nee Eigbrett) Einspahr. He was baptized at the Christ Lutheran Church, Prosser, Nebraska, on September 14, 1900. He was confirmed there in the Lutheran faith on June 7, 1914. Walter Einspahr was united in marriage to Miss Anna Meyer at a small wedding service on October 31, 1928 at Haxtun, Colorado, by the Reverend Reinhardt C. A. Einspahr. Read More	Walter Herman Einspahr was born in Hall County, Nebraska, September 9, 1900, to John (Johann) Gottfried and Wilhelmina Augusta (nee Eigbrett) Einspahr. He was baptized at the Christ Lutheran Church, Prosser, Nebraska, on September 14, 1900. He was confirmed there in the Lutheran faith on June 7, 1914. Walter Einspahr was united in marriage to Miss Anna Meyer at a small wedding service on October 31, 1928 at Haxtun, Colorado, by the Reverend Reinhardt C. A. Einspahr. After their wedding, Walter and Anna lived in Holyoke, Colorado, and then in Haxtun, Colorado. Walter worked for Art and LaVern Beal in the Ovid, Colorado area before moving to a farm in that area in 1938. There the Einspahrs resided until their retirement in 1973 at which time they moved to Holyoke. Walter was active in community affairs, having served as a 4-H leader for twenty-five years, serving on District 3 school board, a board member for the rural telephone line company, community hall. He was a dealer for Archer Oil for many years. He also served as an older at Zion Lutheran Church, Holyoke, Colorado. Walter also enjoyed playing cards, and he came active at the Senior Citizens Center during the final years of his life. Services were held on Saturday May 30, 1981, at Zion Lutheran Church for Mr. Einspahr with the Reverend Gary Rahe officiating. Walter died at Melissa Memorial Hospital, Holyoke, Colorado on Wednesday May 27, 1981, after suffering a heart attack. He was buried at Holyoke Memorial Cemetery, Holyoke, Colorado Walter was preceded in death by his wife Ann, his parents, two brothers Frank and Ervin, and one sister Emma Grant. He is survived by his daughter, his son, a brother, and a sister, two granddaughters, and step-grandchildren.
