He passed away January 8, 1970 at the Welds County Nursing Home in Greeley, Colorado. He was married to Emma Lowe on October 8, 1912 at Greeley, Nebraska. Mr. Sawicki was a cashier in the Peoples State Bank at Wolbach for 25 years until moving to Colorado where he lived for a number of years at Peetz and Sterling. Later he moved to California... He passed away January 8, 1970 at the Welds County Nursing Home in Greeley, Colorado. He was married to Emma Lowe on October 8, 1912 at Greeley, Nebraska. Mr. Sawicki was a cashier in the Peoples State Bank at Wolbach for 25 years until moving to Colorado where he lived for a number of years at Peetz and Sterling. Later he moved to California where he worked for the Army Corps of Engineers. In the mid-forties he moved to Walla Walla, Washington, where he continued to work for Civil Service. In 1960 he moved to Greeley, Colorado, where he was secretary for the 7-Up Company Bottling Works until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Emma; two sons, Walter Jr. of Pasadena, California and Gayle of Omaha; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Jo Bird of Tiburon, California; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; three brothers, A. J. Sawicki of Greeley, John Sawicki of Ashton and Ed of Grand Island; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Janc of St. Paul and Mrs. Clara Ignowski of Ashton.
