Requiem mass will be celebrated by his nephew, the Rev. Leo Lenz, in SS Peter and Paul Church at 9 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Wegner, son of the late Charles and Mary Beltz Wegner, was born in Sheridan Township, Carroll County, April 23, 1886. He was married in April 1909 to Margaret Borst, who died in 1918, and remarried on September 8, 1920 to Veronica Walz at SS. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll. He attened county schools and had been engaged in the grocery business and masonry trade. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul parish and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his second wife; Mrs. D. P. (Irene) Christy of Des Moines, a daughter by his first marriage; and Mairan, daughter of his second marriage who lives at home. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. C. R. (Minnie) Bliss, Glidden; William Wegner, Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. Ray (Till) Sebern, Manilla; Mrs. Harley (Ann) Sebern, Glidden; Carl Wegner, Minneapolis; and Louie Wegner, Rochester, Minn. Preceding him in death were his parents, first wife, and sister Clara. Mr. Wegner had been in failing health for the past three years.
