WALTER LANIER The many friends of Mr. Walter Lanier, late of this city, will be grieved to learn of his death, which took place at 225 south Bloodworth street Saturday afternoon at 6 o'clock, after several months of suffering, which he bore with fortitude. He was a fine, gentlemanly man, aged thirty years, son of the late J.H. Lanier and brother of Miss Delia Lanier, Mrs. Richard Pool and Mr. Jas. Lanier. He was unmarried. The funeral services were held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m., Rev. A.J. Moncrief, of the Baptist Tabernacle, officiating. The interment was in the city cemetery. -----------
