Description	:	Walter R. Hunsaker, a life-long resident of Porterville, passed away at his home on Monday, December 28, 2009. He was born in the old Porterville Hospital on August 7, 1934. He was 75. A graveside service will be held at Vandalia Cemetery on Thursday, December 31st at 2:00 PM. Walter graduated from Porterville High School in 1952. He spent two years at Cal Poly and two years in the army, serving in Korea. After completing his military service he entered into the cattle business which was not only his occupation but his life. Walter is survived by his wife of fifty years, Esther Hunsaker of Porterville; son, Edward Hunsaker and wife Marcia of Bakersfield; daughters, Theresa Paulmann and husband Hans Birger of Terra Bella and Mary Stubblefield and husband Bud of Taft; three grandchildren, Kevin Hunsaker, Allison Hunsaker and Shane Stubblefield. Waiting to greet him in heaven are his parents and sister. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Center, P.O.
