Wanda Mae Walker was born July 17, 1930 in Pittsburg, Kansas the daughter of Estie T. Evans and Laura M. (Careathers) Evans. She grew up in Pittsburg and attended Pittsburg Schools. She was united in marriage to Paul Richard Walker and he preceded her in death May 19, 1995. Wanda Mae Walker was born July 17, 1930 in Pittsburg, Kansas the daughter of Estie T. Evans and Laura M. (Careathers) Evans. She grew up in Pittsburg and attended Pittsburg Schools. She was united in marriage to Paul Richard Walker and he preceded her in death May 19, 1995. Wanda was a homemaker and housewife. She enjoyed playing bingo, word puzzles, traveling, cross stitching and playing Wii Bowling. She will be remembered as being very graceful and happy. She loved to have fun and do things special for her family and friends. Wanda was a member of the Arma and Frontenac Methodist Church and Eagles in Frontenac. Survivors include her daughter, Lois E. Southard and her husband Steve of Cabot, Arkansas, son Richard S. Walker and his wife Diana of Franklin, Kansas, brother, Edward Evans of Pittsburg, Kansas, sister, Marva Collier of Joplin, Missouri, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Walker, two brothers, Charles and James Evans and one sister, Almeta Hopkins. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg, Kansas with Pastor Annie Ricker, officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M., Monday, November 20, 2017 at Bedene Funeral Home, 517 East Washington, Arma, Kansas. Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Arma or Frontenac Methodist Church and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
