Wood and Berniece Gilbert Wood was born in Des Moines, Iowa March 25, 1941 and passed away August 30, 2001 at Osceola Nursing and Rehab Center in Osceola, Iowa. She attended school in Indianola, Iowa where she graduated from high school 1959. Wanda married Clark Jensen in Charleston, West Virginia in 1960. To this union five children were born, Sheldon, Robin, Melissa, Eric and Lori. The family lived in the Des Moines and Carlisle area. It was in rural Carlisle that the couple purchased an acreage and the kids grew and learned to play baseball and softball. Wanda lived in various parts of the country including Texas where she married Glen McCullar in 1990. Wanda lived in Texas until August 14, 2001 when she moved to the Oscolea Nursing and Re-Hab Center in Osceola. She made friends quickly with her sense of humor and loving nature. Wanda loved the country life, loved to read books, and loved to laugh. She was full of life and always had a smile on her face, even as she struggled with health problems in recent years. Those who knew her and Loved her will miss her, And forever remember. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Jason Murray Wood. She leaves to cherish her memory; husband Glen of Rosharon, Texas; her children, Sheldon Dennis Jensen of Owatonna, Minnesota, Robin Lee O’Brien of Littleton, Colorado, Melissa Sue Patterson of Kenyon, Minnesota, Eric Allen Jensen of Plymouth, Minnesota, Lori Ann Blomquist of Bloomington, Minnesota; brother, Steve Wood of Murray, Iowa and sister, Joanne Baxter of Alta Vista, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Joshua and Nathan Wienken of Littleton, Colorado, Heather Jacobsen of Kenyon, Minnesota, Kayla Jensen of Waseca, Minnesota, Scott O’Brien of Littleton, Colorado, Ashley Westerhouse of Kenyon, Minnesota and Wyatt Blomquist of Bloomington, Minnesota as well as other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services and interment of cremains will be held at Webb Cemetery, Warren County, Iowa at a later date. Officiating Pastor Marty Burgus of Osceola, Iowa.
