Description	:	Ward C. Taylor, eldest of three sons of Thomas Ira and Edna Ward Taylor, was born at Arthur, Iowa, Sept. 30, 1894. He passed away Feb. 23, 1960, in his 66th year. Burial was in the Odebolt Cemetery, Sac County, Iowa. When he was 8 years old, the family moved to California for his mother's health. She died in 1903, when the family returned to Arthur, where an Aunt Lucinda Sutton lived with them and brought them up, until his faher died in 1911. He passed away Feb. 23, 1960, in his 66th year. Burial was in the Odebolt Cemetery, Sac County, Iowa. When he was 8 years old, the family moved to California for his mother's health. She died in 1903, when the family returned to Arthur, where an Aunt Lucinda Sutton lived with them and brought them up, until his faher died in 1911. The 3 sons then lived with an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Potter at Arthur, until they left to make their own homes. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Falconer on January 19, 1916. To this union 3 daughters were born, Darlene (who died in infancy), LaVaun, and Ardelle. He is survived by LaVaun, Mrs. Morgan Hoft, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., and Ardelle, Mrs. Wallace Bruns of Storm Lake, Iowa, and by two grandsons, Terry and Timothy Bruns of Storm Lake, Iowa. He is the last of his immediate family. There are other more distant relatives and many friends. The family lived on a farm north of Arthur for 28 years, until they moved to Storm Lake in 1944, on account of his health. His hobby on the farm was raising and training horses. The pallbearers were a few of the many young men who lived in the Taylor home while attending college, and whose lives were all touched for the better because they became a part of the family life, for a time. They were Sherrill Hammer, John Rex, Dean Becker, James Bruce, James Walsh, and Leslie Wade.
