Description	:	Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a good neighbour to all who sought his help and advice. Warner passed away peacefully after a 2 year battle with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory Connie, his wife of 55 years, 1 son, 5 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 1 sister Beulah (Rich) Paugh. Born in Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, the son and grandson of homesteaders in the Long Lake area, Warner lived and ranched there throughout his life. As a youth he joined Junior Farmers, later to become the Kamloops South Beef Club where, in 1941, he and brother Russell took top honours in the Provincial beef judging competition, going on to Toronto where they placed 3rd in the national competition. As an adult he was asked to judge cattle at various shows throughout B.C. and Alberta. For many years Warner was leader or assistant leader of the Kamloops South Beef Club, and at the same time was a director of the B.C. Cattlemen s Assoc. and the B.C. Livestock Co-op as well as serving on the Winter Fair Committee and that of the March Bull Sale and Fat Stock Show. In Warner's younger days he was often the local "vet" for neighbours having calving problems or ailing animals.
