Burial will be at 10 a.m. at Sumner Cemetery. Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. He was born Dec. 18, 1920, in Lemoyne to Elmer G. and Ida B. (Anderson) Felt. On Feb. 19, 1948, he married Rosella Carlson. Survivors include his wife of 64 years; son, Jerry Felt and his wife, Connie Watson; daughters, Rose Marie Parker and her husband, Rick, and Joyce Entz and her husband, Darrel; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Warren grew up on Otter Creek where it empties into the North Platte River in what is now part of Lake McConaughy. He attended school in Lemoyne and graduated from Ogallala High School in 1939. After high school, Warren farmed on the family farm. The building of Kingsley Dam and the flooding of the North Platte River to form Lake McConaughy forced the family to relocate. Elmer, Ida and Warren moved to the South Loup River Valley in Custer County in 1940. Warren joined the U.S. Army in 1942. Warren spent his Army days breaking mules at Fort Robinson near Crawford as part of the remount division. A farm accident took part of Elmer's hand, and Warren received a hardship discharge to come back to the farm and help his dad and mom. Warren accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at a revival meeting organized by Fred Borden. Warren's relationship with Christ became a very important and vital part of his life. He was active in the Elk Creek Sunday school, the Mount Zion Sunday school, the Sumner Evangelical Free Church and the Broken Bow Berean Church. Warren and Rosella lived and farmed/ranched until they moved to Broken Bow in 1995, but Warren continued to help with the cattle operation until he was no longer able. Warren served on the Flat Bottom School Board for many years and was an active member of Gideons International. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter and grandson, Rick Felt. The family shares Deuteronomy 5:33: "Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess."
