Wayne served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Jean Donovan in 1952; they lived in Des Moines, Norwalk and Murray; two daughters, Debra and Denise blessed this marriage. Wayne served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Jean Donovan in 1952; they lived in Des Moines, Norwalk and Murray; two daughters, Debra and Denise blessed this marriage. He was later married to Amy Ann White in 1964. Wayne was a mechanical engineer. He owned German Machine Works in Osceola for over 25 years. He enjoyed geneology, collecting and restoring Ford Thunderbirds and fishing. He liked to take things apart to find out how they worked and spending time on the computer. His first love was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, nieces and nephews. Those relatives who preceded Wayne in death were his parents; wife, Amy German; and brothers, Richard, Robert and James.. He leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Debra (John) Hobbs of Marion, Iowa and Denise Rhode of Mitchellville, Iowa; grandchildren, R.J. Hobbs, Jordan, Brett and Justin Rhode; brother, Harvey (Mary) German, Sr. of Osceola; sister, Joyce (Charles) Garrett of Osceola; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
