Mr. Lovell was born Aug. 26, 1918, at Berryton, the son of Elmer and Blanche Lovell. He attended Berryton and Topeka schools. Lovell, 75, of Topeka, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 1994, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Lovell was born Aug. 26, 1918, at Berryton, the son of Elmer and Blanche Lovell. He attended Berryton and Topeka schools. Mr. Lovell served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked 33 years for Santa Fe Storehouse area until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 1650, American Legion Capital Post #1, Santa Fe Retiree Club, Pickers and Singers N.E. Valley Falls, and the Moose Lodge #555. He is survived by a sister, Charlotte Metzger, Tanpa, Florida. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Post #1650. Mr. Lovell will lie in state after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
