Description	:	Funeral services for Wayne Herman Frey, 68, of 1305 Adams Circle will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday from First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Ivan D. Rundus, D.D., and lay pastor assistant Debbie Hessler officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery. Mr. Frey died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1990, at a Sterling nursing home. He was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Hitchcock, S.D., the son of Herman and Ella Peterson Frey, attended school in Hitchcock, and after graduation from high school moved to the Black Hills to work at a CCC Camp. He was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Hitchcock, S.D., the son of Herman and Ella Peterson Frey, attended school in Hitchcock, and after graduation from high school moved to the Black Hills to work at a CCC Camp. He enlisted in the Navy November 1939 for six years, then attended watchmakers school in Kansas City, Mo. He purchased a jewelry store in Aurora, Neb., and in 1962 moved to Sterling when he purchased Hutchinson Jewelry, selling the firm to his son in 1987. He married Hazel Wells, Oct. 13, 1942, in Pensacola, Fla. She preceded him in death. Mr. Frey was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sterling Rotary Club, Sterling B.P.O.Elks Lodge No. 1336; Sterling A.F. & A.M. Lodge No. 54, Sterling American Legion Post No. 20 and was past president of the Rocky Mountain Jewelers Association. He is survived by a son, Randy Frey of Sterling; a sister, Annella Wright of Custer, S.D., and four grandchildren. Tennant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements with visitation until 9 p.m. this evening and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.
