Description	:	TWISP _ Lifelong Twisp resident and businessman Wayne Lee Johnson, 45, died Sunday, March 15, 1992, at the Methow Valley State Airport as the result of a plane crash. He was born June 21, 1946, to Dave L. and Esther (Shaw) Johnson, at Twisp. He graduated from Twisp High School in 1965. Mr. Johnson married Janice D. Byron on July 27, 1968, at Twisp. He was born June 21, 1946, to Dave L. and Esther (Shaw) Johnson, at Twisp. He graduated from Twisp High School in 1965. Mr. Johnson married Janice D. Byron on July 27, 1968, at Twisp. He joined the U.S. Army on Feb. 14, 1968, and served until February, 1970. He was in the 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper, and was in Vietnam from August 1968 until August 1969. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson owned and operated Johnson Trustworthy at Twisp. Mr. Johnson had worked there for his parents beginning at 15, and he bought the store from them in 1988. He was a member of the Twisp Kiwanis, Twisp Grange, Twisp Eagles, Twisp American Legion, Twisp Masonic Lodge F&AM and El Katif Shrine. Survivors include his wife, at home; two sons, Clinton and Lee Johnson, at home; a daughter, Michele Hampton of Coquille, Ore.; his parents, of Twisp; a sister, Fern Roarke, his grandmother, Ida Shaw of Brewster; and a grandson. Arrangements are by Precht's Methow Valley Chapel at Twisp. TWISP _ Wayne Lee Johnson, 45, of Twisp, who died Sunday, March 15, 1992, is also survived by a sister, Fern Roark of Spokane. Mr. Johnson also purchased his hardware store from Howard Days, and not from his parents, as was stated in Tuesday's obituary.
