He was baptized April 14, 929, in the Lutheran church. He attended Seward high school. Wayne was injured at the C. B. & Q. R. R. Read More	Wayne Leland Hoffschneider Obit Wayne Leland Hoffschneider, son of Arthur and* Florence Hoffschneider, was born March 21st, 1929, in York county, Nebraska, and departed this life February 8, 1948, at Lincoln, at the age of 18 years, 10 months and 18 days. He was baptized April 14, 929, in the Lutheran church. He attended Seward high school. Wayne was injured at the C. B. & Q. R. R. Havelock shops where he was working in May, 1947, which resulted in his losing – one limb. He appeared to recover until November when he again became ill and rapidly grew worse. Everything was done that loving hands could do. He was patient and kind, always thoughtful of others. Often saying words of encouragement to his parents and others up to the very last. He leaves to mourn his passing, parents, one brother, Marlen,10; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Killip of Beaver Crossing, eight aunts and uncles and many other relatives, and Miss La Donna Cain, his sweetheart, and a host of other friends. Services were conducted at the Evangelical United Brethren church Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. C. L. Cody officiating, with burial at Beaver Crossing.
