Description	:	Wayne Lyle Drake Wayne Lyle Drake , son of Lale and Blanche Drake, was born near Humboldt, Nebraska on April 10, 1929. He attended school at Sunny Slope Grade School, and Humboldt High School, Humboldt, Nebraska where he graduated in 1947. Wayne was the fourth generation of the Drake family in Humboldt. Wayne was united into marriage to Ruth Schacht on June 29, 1957, at the United Methodist Church in Humboldt, Nebraska. To this marriage three children were born: one daughter, Vicki, and two sons, Les and Royce. Wayne was in the Air Force for four years. He was a Korean veteran.... He attended school at Sunny Slope Grade School, and Humboldt High School, Humboldt, Nebraska where he graduated in 1947. Wayne was the fourth generation of the Drake family in Humboldt. Wayne was united into marriage to Ruth Schacht on June 29, 1957, at the United Methodist Church in Humboldt, Nebraska. To this marriage three children were born: one daughter, Vicki, and two sons, Les and Royce. Wayne was in the Air Force for four years. He was a Korean veteran. Wayne owned and operated the 66 Service Station in Humboldt. He later was the credit manager of The O.A. Cooper Co. He later worked for Alert Association Collection Agency. Wayne was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and was a Charter member of the Lions Club in Humboldt, where he served as President for both organizations. He was a member of American Legion Post #269 in Humboldt, and a member of the Eagles Club in Auburn. Wayne also served on the Board of Directors of The O.A. Cooper Co. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Wayne died at the Pawnee County Memorial Hospital in Pawnee City, Nebraska, on Monday, January 3, 2000, having reached the age of seventy years, eight months, and twenty-three days. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Vicki Pelletier of Columbia, Maryland; two sons, Royce Drake of Lincoln, Nebraska and Les Drake and his wife Shari of Humboldt, Nebraska; two grandsons William Paul and Carter James Drake of Humboldt; two sisters, Wilma Keane of Davey, Nebraska, and Dorothy Massey of Lakewood, Colorado; one brother, Ralph Drake and his wife Julie of Livermore, Colorado; two sisters-in-law; Donna Jean Hindera of St. Mary, Nebraska and Sandra and her husband Duaine Stalder of Humboldt, Nebraska; two brothers-in-law, LaMar Schacht and his wife Orlee of Falls City, Nebraska and Marlin Schacht and his wife Betty of Hooper, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service was held at the United Methodist Church in Humboldt, Nebraska on Saturday, January 8, 2000, with the Rev. Mary-Ellen Gaither officiating. Pallbearers were David Drake, Doug Drake, Micheal Hindera, Pat Keane, Garry Schacht, Terry Schacht, Aaron Stalder, and Daric Stalder. Interment was in the Humboldt Cemetery.
