Description	:	Another of our grand old pioneer settlers, William Cheeseman, passed peacefully away at his home one half mile south of Lebanon Sunday [Nov. 21, 1909] evening at four o'clock. He has been in very poor health the past several months. He is one of the oldest residents of the county and at the time of his death was still living on his old homestead. All that there was of the life that has faded into the night of the endless sleep; its lights and its shadows; its power and its purity; its usefulness, pass before us in a rapidly moving panorama. Under such influence, with such a thrilling picture of worthy deeds and days gone by, we pause for a time to speak to and of the beloved dead. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at two o'clock and a large prcession followed the remains to the Sweet Home cemetery for interment. May God's purest angel guard his slumbers. Source: The Lebanon Times, Nov. 25, 1909 According to the 1900 census Welcome Cheesman was born Jan 1836 in Pennsylvania. He had been married to Mary A. for 39 years. She had had 5 children but only 2 were living. George W. was living with them at that time. He was single, born June 1864 in Ohio. The other child is a guess. On the 1920 census there is a Francis Cheeseman, 62 years of age, born in Ohio and his parents were both born in Pennsylvania.
