Albert O. Grendler officiated Interment was held at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer. He was educated in Royal and graduated from Royal High School After his high school graduation in 1943, Franker joined the United States Navy and honorably served his country as a Gunners Mate until 1946.He was also the Fire Chief of Royal from 1946 to 1950 On April 13, 1950, he was united in marriage to Alvina (Maxine) Klatt in Worthington, Minnesota. Maxine passed away in 1992 Franker's working years were spent as Transportation Management for Ruan from 1961 to 1971. He owned and operated the grocery store in Triboji Beach from 1971 to 1974 and drove for Farm Service of Milford from 1974 to 1988 He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and VFW Post #4514, American Legion Post Franker enjoyed fishing, watching the Chicago Cubs and the Minnesota Twins baseball teams and Vikings Football. He especially looked forward to his 2 p.m. pool game at the VFW Club each day with his friends Survivors include hi wife Kay; son, Randall Franker and friend, Missy Bolinghouse; daughter, Lori Anderson and husband, Gary, all of Spirit Lake; stepchildren, Brad Wells and his wife, Kim of Des Moines; Joni Wells of Des Moines; Darcy Wells and friend, Addison Myers of Columbia, Missouri; grandchildren; Derek Franker and his fiancé, Jennifer Radcliffe of Emmetsburg; Bailey and Harley Eckman of Spirit Lake; Tyler and Riley Anderson of Fairmont, Minnesota; Max Boltinghouse of Spirit Lake; Chad and Kelsey Wells of Des Moines; John Inbody of Denver, Colorado and extended family members and many loving friends Franker was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mazine, brother Gayle Franker and sister, Ethel Hennings Turner Funeral Home of Spirit Lake was in charge of arrangement's Dickinson County News.
