Wesley Albert "Bud" Bunda Jr. was born August 20, 1944, at Fonda, Iowa. He was the son of Wesley and Clarice (Reis) Bunda. Read More	Wesley "Bud" Bunda Jr. – age 65 of Pocahontas, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Wesley Albert "Bud" Bunda Jr. was born August 20, 1944, at Fonda, Iowa. He was the son of Wesley and Clarice (Reis) Bunda. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1962 and attended the Humboldt Institute in Minneapolis. On April 22, 1968, Bud married Margene Blaha in Pocahontas. The couple settled on a farm near Pocahontas. Bud worked as office manager for Dr. Gonnerman from 1966 to 1974. In 1974, Bud attended the Brown Institute for electronics training. In 1976, he began Bud's Radio Sales and Service, retiring in 1992 due to health reasons. Bud also operated Triple B Guns with his sons for many years. Bud was a member of the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting firearms and spending time at his cabin in Brainerd, MN. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Margene of Pocahontas; sons, Tim (Joan) Bunda of Emmetsburg and Brian (Carrie) Bunda of Pocahontas; five grandchildren, Dalton, Madison, Katelyn, Natalie and Riley; mother, Clarice Bunda of Pocahontas; brother, Anthony (Sharon) Bunda of Pocahontas and sister, Carlin Moser of Urbandale. Bud was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Richard. Visitation: Thursday November 19, 2009, 4 - 8 PM at Powers Funeral Home, Pocahontas, Iowa. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Pocahontas, with Fr. Andrew Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Pocahontas. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Powers Funeral Home in Pocahontas, with a Parish Vigil service at 7 p.m.
