Also surviving are a brother, Bruce Reida of Brooklyn and two sisters, Mary Jane Roudabush (Dean) of Columbus, OH, and Colleen Lidtka (Laverne) of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his parents. Wesley George Reida was born June 8, 1930 in Brooklyn, Iowa, the son of Amos and Gerna Haswell Reida. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1948 and then attended Simpson College. Wesley served in the U.S. Navy. He married Doris Booth on February 3, 1951 in Tama, Iowa. He was employed in real estate and insurance for many years. Wesley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and the Kiwanis Club, where he had served as president. He enjoyed fishing and sightseeing, was a Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeyes fan, and loved to spend time with his family.
