Read More	Wesley Henry Peters was born in Black Oak, Carroll county, Illinois, and departed this life September 26, 1936; reaching the age of sixty-three years, ten months and one day. In the year 1878, at the age of six years, deceased came with his parents to the state of Nebraska. In 1882 they purchased the farm near Fairmont, on which he has since lived, with the exception of four years. On the 14th day of April, 1873, the Sacrament of Holy Baptism was administered in the Evangelical Lutheran church, the church of his parents. In February, 1896, after instruction in the fundamental doctrines of Scripture, he was admitted into communicant membership in that church by the rite of confirmation. He was a faithful member of his church all his life, and when his last illness prevented him from going to the House of the Lord, he rejoiced in the comforting messages brought to him by the pastor of his church. November 3, 1898, Mr. Peters was united in marriage with Bessie Kness, and to this union one child was born, Henry Peters, who resides in Lincoln, Nebraska. About two years ago Mr. Peters' Health began to fail. He sought medical aid in Lincoln, Nebraska, for some months, later going to Savannah, Missouri, where he spent five weeks in treatment. After that he received regular treatments in Lincoln, until six weeks ago, when he was confined to his bed. On Saturday morning at 11:15 o'clock the Lord, through a sudden hemorrhage and ensuing death, mercifully brought his suffering to an end. Surviving are his faithful and devoted wife, Mrs. Bessie Peters, and his son Henry; two grandchildren, Carol Marie and Francis Wesley; two brothers, John of Fairmont and Conrad of North Platte; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Plock of Fairmont. Funeral services were held from the Federated church in Fairmont. Rev. S. Thies of Cordova, pastor of the deceased, conducted the service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday.
