Description	:	Wesley Howard Hill was born on Sept. 5, 1930 to Carrie Orella and Jerome Hill in Huxley, Iowa, where he was also raised. Wes and his family moved to Southern CA in 1958 where he worked at Rohr Aircraft and CSU, Riverside, before moving to Chico in 1970. Wes worked at Diamond International before his long career as a journeyman electrician at CSU, Chico, starting in 1974. Read More	Wesley Howard Hill was born on Sept. 5, 1930 to Carrie Orella and Jerome Hill in Huxley, Iowa, where he was also raised. Wes and his family moved to Southern CA in 1958 where he worked at Rohr Aircraft and CSU, Riverside, before moving to Chico in 1970. Wes worked at Diamond International before his long career as a journeyman electrician at CSU, Chico, starting in 1974. He retired in 1996 and earned outstanding employee and outstanding retired staff of the year during his time as an employee. Wes was the president and founder of the Arlanza Lions Club in Riverside, CA. He donated much of his time and skills to many individuals and to the Butte County Search and Rescue; he also served a stewardship for CSEA in 1979. Wes served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. During his retirement years, Wes continued his volunteer services to many individuals and thoroughly enjoyed his deep sea fishing trips off the coast of Trinidad with friends until his mid 70's. His oldest son, Michael, two sisters, Mayola Smith and Joan Terrones, and his parents, Jerome and Carrie Orella Hill, preceded him in death. Wes is survived by his wife, Audrey; his two sisters, Izetta Bennett and MarJean Sutter of Iowa; his children, Kevin Hill and wife, Kathy; Scott Hill and wife, Nora; and Teri Brott and husband Steve. Wes left several grandchildren, Kacey Devoll, Trevor Brott, Nicole Hill, Tyler, Shelby and Cayden Hill, and Chad and Hannah Brott. Wes' wishes were to be cremated without any services or memorial. Therefore instead of flowers, donations may be made to either the Butte County Search and Rescue or a favorite charity in care of Newton-Bracewell.
