Limestone Street Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Simpsonville Rehab & Health. Born in Laurens, S.C. he was the husband of Charlotte Ann Peeler Brown and son of the late Albert Irvin Brown and Meta Smith Fuller Brown. He received his Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was a partner with the law firm Saint-Amand, Thompson & Brown, a registered patent attorney, retired as a Family Court Judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, and a member of First Baptist Church in Gaffney. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Wesley Lamar Brown, Jr. and wife, Susan Loy Brown, of Charleston, S.C. and Robert Meyer Brown and wife, Tiffany Diana Brown, of Greenville, N.C.; a brother, Anthony Carlisle Brown and wife, Carol Ann, of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren, Michael Alexander Brown, Parker Wesley Brown and Emily Ann Brown. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Gaffney. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church with Dr. Tommy Huddleston and Rev. Rickey Letson officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Baptist Church, 200 N. Limestone Street, Gaffney, S.C. 29340 or Laurens First Baptist Church, 300 W.
