Mrs. Wieck died Wednesday in a Grand Island hospital.... Mrs. Wiebke Dorothea Wieck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hargens, was born November 29, 1875 in Marne, Dittmarche, Germany. The family came to America when she was five, settling on a farm near Grand Island. She was married to Peter Wieck on March 29, 1895. They lived in the Worms community until they retired in 1940 and moved to Grand Island. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1945. Mr. Wieck died September 17, 1949. Mrs. Wieck continued to live in the family home with a daughter, Miss Emma Wieck. She was a member of Zion Lutheran church of Worms. She is survived by three sons, Oscar and Lawrence, St. Libory, and Alfred, Grand Island; five daughters, Miss Emma, Mrs. David Dunn and Mrs. Paul May of Grand Island, Mrs. Leon Manning, Chapman and Mrs. Elmer Garbe, North Hollywood, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Wieck, Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Raymond and Frank, and two grandchildren.
