The son of Dietrich Frederich and Louise Marie Rathkamp Wohlenhaus, he was born Dec, 24, 1904 on the home farm 1/4 mile north of Lyman and lived his entire life there. He attended school at Noble #2 and was married Dec. 5, 1936 in Atlantic to Leona Barbara Weppler. He farmed and retired in 1969. The son of Dietrich Frederich and Louise Marie Rathkamp Wohlenhaus, he was born Dec, 24, 1904 on the home farm 1/4 mile north of Lyman and lived his entire life there. He attended school at Noble #2 and was married Dec. 5, 1936 in Atlantic to Leona Barbara Weppler. He farmed and retired in 1969. Mr. Wohlenhaus was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, president and vice president of Noble Twp. Mutual Insurance for eight years, director of Griswold State Bank for 25 years, Noble Twp. Trustee for 26 years, president of Noble Twp. Schools, and director of Noble #2 for several years. Surviving are his wife, Leona of RR#2 Griswold, a daughter, Linda Hering and husband Ron of Oakland; three grandchildren, Brian, Tania and Ryan Hering; a sister-in-law, Ruby Wohlenhaus of Atlantic; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, William, Fred, Louis, Dick, Edwin and Roy; and five sisters, Sophia Vetter, Lena Gerlach, Mary Frank, Louise Lehmkuhl, and Mildred Lary.
