Description	:	Wilbur Dykstra, 85, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. Services were held Wednesday, June 11 at Lennox Ebenexer Presbyterian Church. Officiating during the service was the Rev. Ryan Arkema. Interment was in the Lennox Cemetery. Wilbur LeRoy Dykstra was born on a farm near Marion, South Dakota, the son of Samuel and Anna (Oordt) Dykstra. He grew up and attended school in this area and began work as a farm hand. Wilbur LeRoy Dykstra was born on a farm near Marion, South Dakota, the son of Samuel and Anna (Oordt) Dykstra. He grew up and attended school in this area and began work as a farm hand. On August 16, 1957 he was united in marriage to Iva Harms at Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. The couple made their home in Lennox. Wilbur worked as a mechanic for the Lennox Coop and then for Seipkes Repair. He also worked for several area farmers. Iva died on January 26, 2007. Wilbur was an active and faithful member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and bowling. He enjoyed attending local sporting events and was a devoted Minnesota Twins fan. Besides his parents and wife, Wilbur was preceded in death by three brothers: Raymond, Norman and Alvin. Grateful for having shared his life are his son and daughter-in-law: David and Tracee Dykstra of Lennox; one granddaughter, Saphyre, Lennox; siblings: James (Rita) Dykstra, Fairfield, CA, Trudy (Tim) Cook, Nilichik, AK and Irene Oliver, Pierre, SD; plus several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
