She was born Oct. 2, 1921, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Addison and Lucile (Joiner) Brenneman and had been a Dorset Township and Jefferson resident all of her life. Read More	Wilda B. Spencer Wednesday, December 9, 2015 JEFFERSON — Wilda B. Spencer, age 94, of Jefferson, Ohio, died unexpectedly Sunday. She was born Oct. 2, 1921, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Addison and Lucile (Joiner) Brenneman and had been a Dorset Township and Jefferson resident all of her life. Wilda was a 1943 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College. She was married to William L. Spencer on Oct. 19, 1947. Mrs. Spencer was a retired music teacher from Jefferson Area Local School System and also gave private music lessons to hundreds of students over the years. She was a former member and played the organ at the Dorset United Methodist Church and was currently a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Jefferson. She was a member of the former Andover Chapter of the Eastern Star; was an avid bridge player and loved ballroom dancing. Wilda is a 38 year breast cancer survivor. Survivors include two children, Denise E. (Thomas) McCartney of Verona, Pa., and Douglas W. Spencer of Boston, Mass.; two grandsons, Sean (Carrie) McCartney of Manor, Pa., and Brent McCartney (Colleen Vogedling) of Plum, Pa.; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill in 1993; brothers, Roger and John Brenneman; and a sister, Audrey Brenneman. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 41 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with interim pastor, the Rev. Christina Kukuk officiating. Burial will be in Dorset Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, whom is honored to serve the Wilda Spencer family.
