Mr. Stiller died Saturday morning at 3:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Weigert. He made his home with his daughter for 12 years. He was eighty-nine at the time of his death. He was ill only three days. Wilhelm Stiller was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Stiller and was born March 9, 1845, at the Hohenstein Ernstthal, Saxony, Germany. He grew to young manhood there and was united in marriage May 8, 1867 to Miss Wilhelmine Rother. Eight children were born to this union. They emigrated to Merrick county in 1881. Two years after the death of his wife, on September 13, 1898, he went to Germany for a visit. He returned to America in 1921 and since that time he has resided with his daughter. Two children preceded him in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Weigert and Mrs. Marie Middendorf, the latter of Norman, Ark., four sons, William in Oklahoma, and Carl, Alfred and Ernest, all of this city; also fifteen grandchildren.
