Troutman Jr. Dead -- Wm Troutman, Jr., was born in Rohrbach, Russia, the 20th day of October, 1895, and passed away at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Troutman of this neighborhood, Friday, February 23rd, 1917, at the age of 21 years, 4 months and 3 days. Mr. Troutman had been in good health all his life, up until about 5 weeks ago. He went to Clay County for a visit with relatives and friends, and while there complained of not feeling well. His parents received word that he was not gaining in health, and went there to take care of him. He grew worse every day and they were compelled to take him to Sutton where the best medical aid was procured. He then became better and was brought home, and was up and around for two weeks, feeling better all the while. He then took a turn for the worse and expired under a stroke of paralysis. In the year of 1908 he came to this city with his parents and resided here since. Short funeral services were held at the residence and were then taken to the Lutheran church of the city, where services were conducted by Rev. J. J. Balensky of York, German, and Rev. R. A. White pastor of the church. The service was well attended for he was a man of good character and one who had marked the path of his acquaintance with close friendships. Floral offerings were both profuse and beautiful and bore a mute but impressive message of the recognition of a life of great usefulness. He was a good son, a kind and thoughtful neighbor, and the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community is tendered the bereaved parents. Interment was made in the Wolbach cemetery.
