Read More	Wilhelmina Alma Roth, passed away in the Good Samaritan Center, De Smet, South Dakota, at the age of 94. She was the daughter of Ferdinand Ludwig Wilhelm and Augusta Johanna (Klick) Albrecht. She married first Frederick Elmer 'Fred' Poppen, son of Charles Frederick and Martha Kitty Ann (Matthew) Poppen, on October 12, 1935 in Hamlin County, South Dakota (D). Frederick died on February 22, 1986 in Clinton, Iowa. She married second Thomas Frank Roth, son of Louis and Mary Roth, on November 26, 1962 and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1996 Alma was an original member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She later became a member of American Lutheran Church in De Smet. Tom and Alma farmed near De Smet until his death; she was employed with the Good Samaritan Center in Howard, South Dakota as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and music. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Alan 'Butch' Poppen, Lyle and Audrey Poppen and Carroll and Donna Poppen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Charles Venzke and Joyce and Marvin Thompson; a sister-in-law, Lottie (Rydbom) Albrecht; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sons: Frederick William, John Ferdinand and Paul Theodore Albrecht; five brothers: Emil August Otto, Theodor Herman Ludwig 'Ted', Carl Wilhelm Heinrich, Heinrich Wilhelm Friedrich 'Henry' and Ferdinald Herman August 'Fred'; two sisters: Elsa Augusta Johanna Karol, and Freida Katharina Louise Armstrong; and a granddaughter, Candice Marie Thompson. Rev. Randy Koeller officiated at services held on August 28, 2008, in the American Lutheran Church in De Smet followed by interment in the De Smet Cemetery.
