Wilhelmina “Billie” Miller was born Aug. 22, 1928 at Durbin, ND to Herman and Mary (Werner) Miller. She attended country school and graduated from Lincoln High School in Casselton, ND. She received her teacher’s certificate from Valley City State. Billie married Harold Schatzke on August 29, 1947 at the Goshen Moravian Church. They made their home on the family farm near Wheatland, ND. For 27 years, Billie worked as a cook at Dakota Hospital in Fargo, a job she enjoyed and took much pride in. They later moved to Fargo. Billie was active in the Goshen Moravian Church and was a Sunday school teacher. She was also a 4H Leader and volunteered at Bonanzaville in West Fargo. Billie and Harold enjoyed traveling especially to Florida, California and Branson, MO. Surviving is her son, Keith; daughter, Carol; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren. She is also survived by two foster children that Billie and Harold raised, David Fiedler and Kathy (Dale) Reese. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; daughter-in-law, Joan Schatzke and siblings, Doris Stoffel, Ruth Roney, Gus Miller, Myron Miller, Herman Miller, Harold Miller, Virginia Heller, Maxine Spiedel, and Leroy Miller.
