Description	:	Funeral services are being held at 2 p.m. this afternoon, April 14, from Trinity Lutheran Church north of Kenmare for Minnie Marie Hansen, 83, longtime area resident, who passed away Friday at the Mohall hospital. Rev. Arlyn Norris will officiate at the service. Pallbearers will be Wayne, Kermit and David Mahlum, Wayne Olson Marcus Elser, James Haaland, Harold Zimmer and Lynn Mohler. All friends will serve as honorary bearers. Minnie Marie Schwabe was born July 24, 1898, in Jackson, Minn. As a teenager she moved with her family to a homestead in Prosperity Township, Renville County, north of Kenmare, where she was reared. She married Soren Hansen Dec. 22, 1917, at Mohall. They lived and farmed in Grover Township, Renville County, for several years and at Brainery, Minn., before returning to Renville County, and settling in Fairbanks Township. In 1959 they moved to Kenmare. Mr. Hansen died Nov. 20, 1967. Since August 1979, she had lived at Good Samaritan Center, Mohall. Surviving Minnie are her sons, Ervin, Kenmare, and Elwyn, Fremont, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Ella) Johnson, Kenmare, Mrs. C. A. (Ethel) Mahlum, Bowbells, and Mrs. Harold (Edith) Waginel, Albuquerque, N.M.; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mrs. Lillian Hanson, Lakeside, Mont., and Mrs. Erma Hope, Whitefish, Mont. She was predeceased by her husband in 1967 and three brothers, Louis, Christ and Hans Schwabe. From The Kenmare News
