TABLE ROCK ARGUS, June 24, 1976.(pg.2) OBITUARY- MINNIE TIBBETTS Wilhelmina Martha Emilia Boehmer, was born in Richardson County, Nebraska, on June 17, 1889, and passed away June 12, 1976, at the Pawnee County Memorial Hospital. She was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Friedens Church south of DuBois, Nebr., by Rev. Voght. In later years she transferred her church membership to the Evangelical United Brethren Christian Church of Pawnee City. She was a faithful member until its closing and was an active member of the Ladies Aid. On February 18, 1914, she was united in marriage to William E. Tibbetts at the home of the groom's parents in Pawnee City by Rev. Hugh Robison. William passed away on March 118, 1943. The first five years of their married life was spent on the Tibbetts farm northeast of DuBois. IN 1918 they moved to the State Line vicinity in Nemaha County, Kansas and that has been their home since. She is survived by: one daughter, Faye, and her son-in-law-, Frank Boydston, two granddaughters, Joyce and her husband Marlin Youngquist and Carol and her husband Leon Haug; one great-granddaughter, Amanda Youngquist; two sisters, Mrs. Rudy Fritch and Mrs. Arthur Steiner; one brother, William Boehmer; and many nieces and nephews. Minnie was a charter member of the State Line Club, which she helped organize in the "30's" and was a lifetime member. Minnie loved to visit with and to help people. She loved handwork. She was active physically so that she could drive her own car until her stroke. Services were at Wherry Brothers Mortuary in Pawnee City, Monday, June 14, 1976, with Rev. T. J. Fraser of the First United Methodist Church in Pawnee City officiating. The burial was in the Pawnee City Cemetery. Minnie Minnie you are old and gray, Sitting in your rocking chair. I see you as once young and gay, With laughter ringing in the air. Your child is grown, your grandchildren too, And now a great-grandchild loves you, Your hands are wrinkled with toll and care, As you sit with them folded as tho in prayer. I vision your fingers once slender and flying, Placing and quilting, knotting and tying. I wonder what visions go through your mind, As we sit by the hour and pass the time.
