Rev. L. W. Heidemann officiated at the service. Organist was Herman Schmieding and soloist was Mrs. Don Kolterman. Burial was in Seward North cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Kolterman, Chris Vogel, Harold Riggert, Dale Anderson, Harold Aegerter, Otto Pflughaupt. Minnie Amelia Katherine Kroeger, was born Dec. 20, 1882, at Burlington, Wis., the daughter of Fred and Amelia Hillman. In 1907 she came to Nebraska and lived at Seward and Eustis. On Feb. 18, 1911 she married Paul Kroeger of Seward at Burlington, Wis. They settled on a farm east of Seward, which was their home until 1918, when they moved to Seward and became associated with the Kroeger Shoe Store. They became members of St. John's Lutheran church in Seward. Since 1942 Mrs. Kroeger was confined to her home most of the time because of ill health. On Thanksgiving Day she suffered a stroke and was hospitalized. Mr. and Mrs. Kroeger had planned to observe heir golden wedding anniversary in February, 1961. Survivors include: her husband, Paul; one daughter, Mrs. Olga Weber of Larned, Kans.; two sons, Herbert and Victor, both of Seward; two grandchildren; one brother, Fred Hillman of Racine, Wis. One sister, Annie Hillman, preceded her death. Relatives from away who came for the funeral were Mrs. Olga Weber and children; Jean and Paul, of Larned, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hillman, Allen Hillman and son, all of Racine, Wis., and also other relatives from Lincoln and York. The Weber's and Hillmans, left for their homes Sunday morning.
