Read More	BROTHER, SISTER DIE ON SAME DAY Mrs. Wilhemina Rich, James Cox Succumbed Few Hours Apart Funeral Services Held This Week Two Crisfield residents, Mrs. Wilhemina A. Rich and James E. Cox. Jr., brother and sister, passed away on Saturday last, within only a few hours of each other, though separated by some sixty miles at the time of their death. Mrs. Rich, who succumbed Saturday morning, and who was sixty-seven years of age, had been a patient at Cambridge Hospital, where she died, for some time. Immediately upon her death, the hospital got in touch with Lawson's Funeral Home here and through a rare coincidence her brother, Mr. Cox, was in Lawson's making some purchases, when the call was received. Only a few hours later he was dead. Mrs. Rich and Mr. Cox were children of the late James E. Cox, Sr. and Margaret Purnell Cox and had spent the greater portion of their lives in Somerset county. Both were respected and highly esteemed citizens who had innumerable friends; friends who were deeply shocked when they learned of the nearly simultaneous death of two that were so near and dear to them. Mr. Cox, who was seventy years of age, was a well-known Somerset county farmer and was active up until the time of his passing. Surviving Mrs. Rich are her husband, Albert G. Rich and two sons, Ansel Rich and Albert Rich, Jr., both of near Baltimore. Mr. Cox is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ionia Cox, and also has two surviving sons, Harold Cox, of this city, and Reginald Cox, of Baltimore. Funeral services were held for Mrs. Rich at Mariner's Methodist Church at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. R. H. Wilson, officiating, and interment was in the Cox burial ground near Hopewell. Pall-bearers were Ernest Hickman, Herman Hickman, Conway Daugherty, U.C. Ward, Frank Morris and Ralph Morris. On Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock final rites were held over the remains of Mr. Cox at the Mariner's Church, with Rev. W.C. Mumford, a former pastor who is now occupying the pulpit at the Bishopville (Md.) Methodist church, officiating. Interment was in Bedsworth cemetery adjoining the church, and pallbearers were U.C.
