Pallbearers were A.L. Pray, Lawrence Fry, Roy Kyner, John Crawford, Wayne Street and Merele Seanley. Interment was made in the New York cemetery. Wilhemina Pauline, daughter of John and Wilhemina Schreck, was born September 30, 1881, near Chariton, Iowa and passed away in her home in Humeston, Iowa, at 3:45 a.m. February 25, 1948. She had reached the age of 66 years, four months and 25 days. She was united in marriage to Arthur A. Duckworth on March 11, 1902, in Chariton, Iowa. To this union six children were born: Gerald, Carl A. and Paul A., who preceded her in death. Those surviving are Helen, of Auburn, Nebraska; Carolyn of Rhinelander, Wisconsin; and John of Mesa, Arizona. Besides her husband and three children she leaves four grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. She has spent her whole life in Wayne and Lucas counties. She and her husband resided on a farm in Wayne county until 1935 when they moved to Humeston, Iowa, where they have since made their home. When a baby, she was baptized in the Lutheran faith and as a young woman became a member of the Methodist church in Berton, Iowa, and after moving to Humeston transferred her membership to the Methodist church of that city. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and was ever mindful of the welfare of her family. She was always a good neighbor and will be sadly missed by all who came in contact with her. Mrs. Duckworth had been in ill health for the past several years and was only bedfast for one week before her passing.
