Services Tuesday The body was brought to the Johannsen Funeral home in La Porte City Sunday for funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. F.E. Bates, pastor of the United Presbyterian church of Pratt Creek, conducted the service. Organ selections were played by Mrs. Cliff Burr. Pallbearers were Harry Esher, A.A. Robertson, Weldon Betts, L.C. McGill, Jesse Kober and R.B. Tripp. Burial was made in West View cemetery. Born in Wisconsin William H. Bahr was born to Levi and Amelia Bahr, Nov. 14, 1872, on a farm near Monroe, Wis. He came to La Porte City, Iowa, with his parents when a small boy and this city remained his home thereafter. In March 1900 he was united in marriage to Viola Farmer of Brandon in La Porte City. Mrs. Bahr died in May 1945. Two sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death. Surviving are one brother, Charles Bahr of Iowa Falls and several nephews and nieces. Church Trustee Mr. Bahr was a member of the Presbyterian church and had served as a trustee of the church for several years. He had been a member of Narcissus Lodge No. 192 of Knights of Pythias for 50 years, of Trowel Lodge No. 21 A.F. & A.M. for nearly 40 years and had also been a member of the La Porte City fire department for many years. Bu occupation he was painter and interior decorator. Out of town relatives who came for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bahr and Stanton La Moind, Iowa Falls; Mrs. Eva Bahr and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bahr, Waterloo; Mrs. R.J. Pommrehn, Des Moines; Mrs. Myrtle Baumgartner, Parkersburg; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lawrence, Fairfield; Mr. and Mrs. Irl Albert and daughter, Brandon and Mrs. W.O. Lawrence, Charlotte, N. Car.
