He was born September 10, 1929, in Buffalo Township, Kossuth County, Iowa, to William and Gertie (Nance) Peck, the eighth of twelve children. His family moved several times during the depression and in 1935, the family settled on a farm near Crystal Lake where he attended school. Junior married Gretchen Siekmeier on January 28, 1948. He moved to Britt in 1991, the same year of his divorce. He is survived by all fifteen of his grandchildren, (Greg's) Lani, Shawn, Ryan and Heidi; (Linda's) Melissa, Stephanie, Barry and Valerie; (Kathy's) Sarah, Rachel and Heather; and (Jeff's) Travis, Angela, Crystal and Tristan. He is survived by 30 great grandchildren. One brother Donald Peck, Zearing, Ia; and one sister, Darlene (Darl) Schmidt, Garner, Ia. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gerti Peck; twin infant sons, Michael and Mitchel, son-in-law, Alan Jones; a great granddaughter, Kohlie Crawford; three brothers, Clyde Peck (infancy); Glen Peck and Wilbur Duane Peck; and six sisters, Evelyn Brower, Ethel Lewerke, Gladys Waldschmidt, Edna Tannahill, Violet Jorgenson, and Sharon Trask. Funeral Services were held from the Britt Christian Reformed Church, Britt, Ia., Internment in the Evergreen Cemetery, Britt, Ia. Ewing Funeral Home and Monument Company, Britt, Ia. handled the arrangements.
