Description	:	Willard Leon Miller was born on a farm southwest of Lennox on Dec. 13, 1923, the son of Tony and Rena (Lubbers) Miller. He attended rural grade school and graduated from Lennox High School in 1942. He assisted in the farming and dairy operations with his father, and also was a substitute rural mail carrier for 14 years. Read More	Willard Leon Miller was born on a farm southwest of Lennox on Dec. 13, 1923, the son of Tony and Rena (Lubbers) Miller. He attended rural grade school and graduated from Lennox High School in 1942. He assisted in the farming and dairy operations with his father, and also was a substitute rural mail carrier for 14 years. On Sep. 29, 1956 he was united in marriage to Darlene "Dot" Hoover in Sioux Falls. They farmed for several years until moving to Sioux Falls, where he continued to work for Sunshine Foods until his retirement in 1993. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his mother on Aug. 19, 1978; his father on Jun. 29, 1979, and one brother; George A. Miller on Dec. 30, 1992. Having battled cancer for 14 years, Willard Miller died at Sioux Valley Foundation Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls on Monday evening, Jan. 25, 1999. He attained the age of 75 years, one month and 12 days. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Darlene (Dot); his three sons: James of Sioux Falls, David and his wife, Cindi, of Brandon, and Don and his wife, Vhonda, of Centerville; one daughter: Darla Fickbohm and her husband, Alan, of Pierre; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph T. Miller and his wife, LaVerne, of Lennox and a sister-in-law: Sophie Miller of Sioux Falls.
