Mr. Wheeler had not been in good health for some time and last Thursday afternoon was taken to the Sacred Heart hospital for care and treatment. Wisconsin Birthplace Willard Rich Wheeler was born Oct 20, 1854 near, Postville, Green county, Wisconsin, where he grew to young manhood. When a young man he went to Nebraska, where he spent three years, then came to Sioux county where he bought a farm and located north of Ireton. About 25 years ago he quit farming and came to Ireton, where he has since made his home. Here he made many friends who hold him in high esteem. Odd Fellow For many years he was a member of the Ireton I.O.O.F Lodge. R.S. Miller, A.M. Richardson, Bert Goodmanson, Ora Grau, Bert Rogers and Frank Taylor acted as pall bearers. The men?s choir of the Presbyterian church, with Mrs. Henry Poll at the piano rendered several beautiful selections. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Mr. Wheeler leaves to mourn his passing three sisters, Miss Laura Wheeler of Phillip, S.D., Mrs. Cora Fornerook of Hinckley, Minn., and Mrs. Mary Thomas of Holland Minn., and two brothers, R.L. Wheeler of Monroe, Wis., and C.E. Wheeler of Phillip, S.D., besides a host of other relatives and friends. Out of town relatives who attended the funeral of the late Willard Wheeler held Monday afternoon at the M.E. church were: Mrs. Cora Fornerook (should be Forncrook) and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Fornerook of Hinckley, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fornerook and daughter of Minneapolis, Minn., Miss Laura Wheeler of Phillio, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas of Holland, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wheeler, Mrs. Vina Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wheeler and daughter, Marjorie, of Hawarden. Mrs. Mary Thomas and Cecil, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Terrill of Sioux Center, and Mr. and Mrs. Eldor Baack and son, Orville, of Le Mars.
