Kemmerer was born in Humboldt, Kansas, June 20, 1865, and passed away at his home in Ottawa, Kansas, March 30, 1935 at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 11 days. Upon returning to Humboldt, he worked at the carpenter trade until 1931, when he moved to Ottawa. He was married to Mrs. Katie R. Manion, also of Humboldt, Mar. 16, 1909. To this union were born three children, two of whom died in infancy. He is survived by his wife, one son, Francis, 16, one step-daughter, Mrs. C. O. Banta, one granddaughter, Ardeth Marie Banta, age 3, all of Ottawa; three brothers, George Kemmerer, San Antonio, Texas; Herman Kemmerer, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Robert Kemmerer, Yates Center, Kas.; and many other relatives and a host of friends. The body was laid to rest in Mt. Hope cemetery. Short funeral services were held at Mount Hope cemetery on Monday afternoon, April 1, with Rev. Ohmstead, Ottawa, in charge. CARD OF THANKS We wish to take this opportunity to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks for the many acts of kindness and words of sympathy rendered by our kind friends during the recent illness and death of our loving husband and father; also to the pall bearers for their kindness.—Mrs. W.
