Description	:	William Ruhga, 82, of Oak died at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings last Wednesday night where he had been taken only a few hours before. Mr. Ruhga had been quite ill the past two or three weeks with a heart ailment. Funeral services were conducted in Oak last Sunday afternoon at the Oak Church with burial in the Nelson cemetery (sic). The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, May 16, 1963 ================ William Alfred Ruhga, who had lived in Nuckolls County since 1908, died in a Hastings hospital Thursday, May 9, at the age of 82 years and 2 months. Mr. Ruhga was born at Avoca, Neb., March 9, 1881, and came to Nuckolls County in 1908. He was united in marriage to Fern Dell Thurber of Nelson, Jan. 8, 1911. Five children were born to this union, Mrs. Fred Kotas (Hazel) of Davenport; Mrs. Leonard Scroggin (Cleo) and Mrs. William Ferguson (Lola), both of Oak, Mrs. Don Taylor (Elaine) of Burbank, Calif., and Alfred of Aurora, Colo. He was a farmer in the Oak community and moved to Oak in 1953. He was preceded in death by his wife on Nov. 17, 1958, two sisters and one brother. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Clara Love of San Francisco; four brothers, Charles of Nelson, Louis of Avoca, Fred of Weeping Water and Walter of Cook. Funeral services were held at the First Community Church in Oak Sunday afternoon, May 12, with Rev. Clay O'Dell officiating. Interment was in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
