Description	:	Breadalbane NB on December 19, 2009, Mr. William “Bill” Allan Steen, husband of the late Blanche M. (Wilcox) Steen. Born at Methuen MA on July 14, 1915, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary E. (Cordingly) Steen. A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by one son, Russell (Olive) Steen of Breadalbane NB, one daughter, Sheila (David) McCourt of Scarbourough ON, three grandchildren; Patrick McCourt of North Bay ON, Julie (Colin) Morrison of Scarbourough ON and Diane (Randy) Madenly of Bolton ON and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Born at Methuen MA on July 14, 1915, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary E. (Cordingly) Steen. A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by one son, Russell (Olive) Steen of Breadalbane NB, one daughter, Sheila (David) McCourt of Scarbourough ON, three grandchildren; Patrick McCourt of North Bay ON, Julie (Colin) Morrison of Scarbourough ON and Diane (Randy) Madenly of Bolton ON and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, Blanche, he was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Charlie and by two sisters, Anne Armstrong and Florence Kernighan. Bill was a veteran of the Second World War where he served with the Service Corps in England. He was an avid musician who loved to play the Harmonica and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the St. George Baptist Church. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium, 26 Portage Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Tuesday at 2 pm with Rev. Darren Millett officiating. The interment will take place at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the funeral home will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
