Description	:	Rites Held July 2 for Wm. A Horstman, 63 Funeral services for Wm. A. Horstman of Pella, Ia., formerly of Creighton, were conducted Sunday, July 2 at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marvin Ritterling, pastor, officiating. Mr. Horstman died unexpectedly following a coronary thrombosis attack at his home June 28. He was 63 years of age. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herb Saloum, Ivan Copeland, Ray Nejedly, John Mathine, Dr. Marvin Kile and Roscoe Rice. Mr. Horstman died unexpectedly following a coronary thrombosis attack at his home June 28. He was 63 years of age. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herb Saloum, Ivan Copeland, Ray Nejedly, John Mathine, Dr. Marvin Kile and Roscoe Rice. William August Horstman was born March 1898 at Hooper to Henry and Mary Horstman, one of seven children. The family moved to Creighton about 1900. On July 3, 1927 he married Ruth Baker at Columbus. They made their home on a farm near Creighton and later moved into town. Two children were born to them. Mr. Horstman was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Creighton in 1936. He served as postmaster in Creighton for 15 years. In 1949 Mr. Horstman, wife and son moved to Bismarck, N.D, then to Burke, S.D. and to Pella, Ia. He managed lumber years in those places. He had been in good health prior to his sudden death. Survivors include his wife; two children, Mrs. Edgar ( Mary Lou) Huse of Boston, Mass and William of Omaha; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Eda) Sebade and Mrs. Cecil (Catherine) Carder of Creighton and Mrs. Carl (Helen) Andersen of Woodhaven, Long Island, N.Y.; two brothers, Harry of Creighton and Charles of Forestville, Calif.
