He was born July 20, 1902, near Eldon to Charles and Lulu Stater Jones and always lived in Wapello County. He was a 50 year employee of John Morrell and Co., retiring in 1967. He was a member of Davis Street Christian Church, Morrell Foreman's Club and Wapello County Fish and Game Club. He married Nora B. Montgomery on April 26, 1920. She died June 24, 1969.
