Description	:	WENATCHEE - William Bauer, 83, a longtime resident of the Wenatchee area, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1994, in Parkside Rehab and Care Center. He was born Feb. 26, 1911, to William and Caroline Bauer at Pierson, Iowa. He received his education in Minnesota. Following his completion of high school, he farmed and received on-the-job-training to be a welder and mechanic. He moved to Port Angeles in 1929 where he worked for Washington Water Power. Read More	WENATCHEE - William Bauer, 83, a longtime resident of the Wenatchee area, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1994, in Parkside Rehab and Care Center. He was born Feb. 26, 1911, to William and Caroline Bauer at Pierson, Iowa. He received his education in Minnesota. Following his completion of high school, he farmed and received on-the-job-training to be a welder and mechanic. He moved to Port Angeles in 1929 where he worked for Washington Water Power. He married Sylvia L. Cox on June 4, 1938, at Port Angeles where they lived until moving to Orondo in 1947. Mr. Bauer worked as a general mechanic at Auvil Fruit Company from 1947 until 1962. He then worked for Bendix Pump until 1973. The family then moved to Othello where they lived for 15 years and Mr. Bauer worked as a mechanic for various companies. They moved back to Orondo in 1988 following his retirement. He was an active member of the Wenatchee Lincoln Park Baptist Church, a member of the First Baptist Church of Othello and a longtime member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by four sons, Kenneth of Malaga, Paul of Ferndale, and Richard and Stephen, both of Orondo; two daughters, Lorena Ghylin of Tahuya, Wash., and Juanita Halsey of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Ralph of Minnesota, and Lester of Michigan; a sister, Mildred Mikels of Pennsylvania; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1991, and five brothers and sisters. Arrangements are by Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee. Burial: 14 Oct 1994
