Riverside cemetery will be the place of burial. Mr. Bauman who had been in ill health for several years, was bedfast during the last three weeks. Cancer of the liver and dropsy caused death. He was born May 1, 1859, in Highland township and resided there until coming to Defiance 20 years ago. Fifty two years ago he was married to Mary Kopp, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs Karl Kopp of Highland township. Mrs. Bauman died Feb 1, 1932. Mr. Bauman leaves four sons, Karl and Irvin Bauman, Defiance, Eno Bauman, Toledo, and Ben Bauman Warren, O.; four daughters, Mrs. Louis Hohenberger, Mrs John Behringer and Mrs. Otto Breese, Defiance, and Mrs. Arthur Spangler, Fort Wayne, Ind.; fifteen grandchildren, and one great, grandchild.
