Deceased was born in Li_urg, Hanover, Germany, on September 28, 1851. On August 8, 1867, he left Germany and started over-seas on his journey to America, landing at Guttenberg, Iowa, on August 29, 1867, where he spent the remainder of his ambitious and christian life. After coming to Guttenberg, he spent several years working on farms in this community, then returning to own ________ reside. Mr. Beerman was united in marriage with Miss Christine Geu on ___ 2, 1876, at Guttenberg, Ia. For forty-seven years Mr. Beerman was employed here by the C. M. St. R. R. Co., 42 years of which he served said railroad company sec____ foreman faithfully. He was also a member of the ________ Association of the C. M. & St. Paul R. R. Co., was a life-long, faithful member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Guttenberg, since coming to this community, serving St. John's congregation as treasurer for ten years, and as secretary for _________length of time, and held other offices of the church. Was comforted by the last rites the church. For twelve consecutive years he was elected as a member of third ____ Education of Guttenberg at various times was a member he ____ own council, and while acting in those capacities, he always sethe ___blic faithfully and well. Mr. Beerman was also one of _estern Iowa's able pioneer ___, having been a member __ Guttenberg City band, __ many successful engagements is ___ction of the country years a ___. He was identified with the ____ of this community, which greater part of his life was. The spirit of a strong, sincere ____ man was his and his and bore witness to his steadfastness to the cause of right, of fair dealing, tolerance and he ____ his fellowman. He was a devoted and true husband and father, affectionate brother, a good citizen, friend, and he passes to his ____ mourned by the whole community. To know him was to like and love him. During his illness he was a patient sufferer and had hopes for recovery to the last. All was done that could be done to save his life, but when he was called to the Great Beyond on last Saturday afternoon. His death is deeply mourned by his wife, four sons, W. J. and H. Beerman, of Guttenberg, Dr. E. A. Beerman, of Barrington, Ill., and O. A. Beerman, of Mason City; one sister, Mrs. Robert H. Scholtz, of Guttenberg; eleven grandchildren; one brother, L. H. Beerman, of Guttenberg; one half-brother, A__ Beerman, of Guttenberg, and other relatives and friends. All will sadly miss this good and ______. Two daughters have preceded their father in death. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Emil Lehne at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church on Tuesday afternoon. The body was laid to rest in the City cemetery. The funeral was very largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near, which showed that deceased was held in high regard by all who knew him. The family has the sympathy of all in this community. Those from out-of-town ____ance at funeral were: Dr. E. A. Beerman, and family, of Barrington, Ill., O. A. Beerman and family of Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. John ___ham, Mrs. Louis Vand_____ and daughters, Velda and _______ ton; Carl Rantzow, of ________; Russell Scholz, of Rock ________; Mrs. Ethel Ahrens, of _______; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rantzow of Farmersburg; Mr. and Mrs. ______mond, of St. Olaf; Mr______ of Farmersburg; Otto _______ Chicago, and Mrs. Lydia Bagley, Wisconsin.
