Description	:	William Carl “Bill” Malm, 69 years of age, passed away on December 2, 2020, at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on February 22, 1951, the third of five children to Charles and Phyllis (Lee) Malm, in Holdrege. Bill was baptized and later confirmed at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege. To this union, two children were... Read More	William Carl “Bill” Malm, 69 years of age, passed away on December 2, 2020, at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on February 22, 1951, the third of five children to Charles and Phyllis (Lee) Malm, in Holdrege. Bill was baptized and later confirmed at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege. Bill attended Holdrege Public Schools and graduated from Holdrege High School. On July 16, 1971, Bill married Genece “Jody” Eckwall at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege. To this union, two children were born: Corey William and Casey Genece. The family made their home in Alma, Nebraska. Bill enjoyed family, music, golf, and repairing golf clubs for friends and family. He loved his many dogs over the years. He was interested in classic cars and other hobbies which varied from hunting in his early years, golfing, and more recently spoiling and spending time with his grandson. He was active in the Holdrege Fire Department and Emergency Unit for many years. Bill was a member of the Alma Rotary and active in the community. Most of all Bill loved his family, he was an amazing care giver to his wife for many years, and he loved his children and adored his grandson, Will. Bill was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Janet Lyon; and one nephew, Anthony Shield. Bill is survived by: his wife Jody Malm of Alma; his children: Corey Malm of Kearney; and Casey Feddersen and her husband, Andrew of Kearney; one grandson, William Feddersen; siblings: Pam Meisenbach of Alma; Tim Malm and his wife, Barb of Holdrege; Tami Sturgis and her husband, Kent of Holdrege; along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
